Fashion Friday #4

Without further ado... some American Apparel outfits that the ladies of Beverly Hills, 90210 may have favored:

I call this one the "Donna Martin choice"

This would be "season one Brenda"

The "Valerie Malone, minus un-slimming white skirt"

And finally, the "Clare Arnold"

I should mention that this post is 100% not sponsored by American Apparel. If there was some sort of corporate kickback, you can bet I'd be hooked up with some sweet crop tops and American flag tights.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #17: Main Dudes

I wonder what the "main dudes" were discussing in this shot.. how much they truly appreciate their fans and all the attention they receive?

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #16: Music Lover

I recently read Shannen Doherty's book titled Badass. She gave some good advice and it may help clear up (to some people) the bad rep she's had, but I couldn't believe how many times the word badass was used in the book. It was nearly every sentence. So this card should really have read this way:

BADASS MUSIC LOVER

A lot of Shannen's badass pals are musicians and writers. After work, her badass gang likes to "play some badass music, sit back and relax and just talk, which I really like," the badass actress says.

Shannen, I love you girl, but you really took the meaning out of that word by overusing it.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #14: Time Off

This card reads like a Jason Priestley online dating profile... written in third person format.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #13: Girl Group

Totally just added Shannen Doherty's autobiography to my must-read list. And Tori Spelling's latest. Celebrity autobiographies are such a guilty pleasure that I can't deny.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #12: Expect the Unexpected

A lovely shot of Brandon getting friendly with his boss at the Beverly Hills Beach Club.

Someone remind me later that I have a ton of 90210 memorabilia to share!

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #11: Cute Couple

Okay so I don't have much to say about this card, it's pretty typical and run of the mill.

I do, however, have a related story. This evening I was watching an episode of Dinosaurs (more on that later) in which Earl is getting paid to give his opinion on new tv shows. One is titled "Pangaea Hills, Dino210". Dylan Damian is talking with Brenda Beth about how she might be "in trouble". What makes her think that? Well, she turns to the side and picks up an egg she had sitting near her. Ha!

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #7: Silver's Gold

I wish my job was to write the copy for collectible trading cards. Obviously it doesn't take much skill or time to slap these things together!

Hot Stuff, Comin' Through!

Ian Ziering is adding something new and exciting to his resume: Chippendales dancer! He looks better now than he did in the 90s. Just sayin'.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #6: Beach Boy

Oooh, Ian Ziering! What a baldwin!

When I was nine years old, I hated his character the most on 90210. I thought he was not cute at all, and that Luke Perry was the babe. Then again, I hardly watched the show because I wasn't allowed to, and my deep hatred of him was probably due to my friends (who were actually allowed to watch it and had discriminating taste). They preferred the real bad boys I guess.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #5: That Smarts!

Poor Andrea Zuckerman.. a character thrown in to balance out the dumb rich kids of Beverly. A character that was given embarrassing storylines such as throwing herself at Brandon. And a character that had to wear giant 90s glasses because she was book smart. That of course means that her trading card is extremely lame.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Trading Cards #3: New Kid in Town

Ah, Brandon.. seen here in his work outfit for the Beverly Hills Beach Club. This card describes him as a "nice guy", which is true enough for when the show started, but really the character evolved into more of a dude that just wanted you to think he was a nice guy. I still give him props for having sweet hair though.
