Every time this holiday rolls around I'm reminded of the Simpsons episode "Summer of 4 ft. 2", one of my personal faves:
"My mom's French, so we only celebrate Bastille Day".
Coincidentally, this was the summer I also decided to try something new and bought a tie dyed shirt from the flea market. Totally made me look more like a dork, especially since I paired it with Grateful Dead necklaces and Target-brand Birkenstocks. Oh the mistakes of a 12-going-on-13 year old dweeb's wardrobe.
