Delia's Catalog - Summer 96

Confession time: if there was a warehouse out there in the wild blue yonder filled with Delia's deadstock from the mid 90s, I would snag everything in my size and then some. I was such a maniac for this stuff that I actually kept all the catalogs that arrived in my mailbox. While I ended up throwing out every issue of Seventeen, Teen and YM that I owned, I couldn't part with these. Today I finally got around to scanning one, the Summer '96 edition. I still pine for the printed shift dresses and Vans Wally's.

Whole catalog can be viewed on flickr: Delia's Catalog - Summer 96

  1. Thank you so much for posting this! These images are burned in my mind because I would just look at this particular catalog OVER and OVER again. I think I was given like $200 by my grandfather and I had to make that stretch as much as possible. I've sadly, in the last 17 years, gotten rid of all the things I was able to get. If you find the deadstock warehouse, please let me know. We'll go crazy together. Good memories.

    1. There's got to be deadstock inventory of this somewhere! I'll cling onto my hope that someone is just waiting to unload all of it if/when a mid-90s revival hits

  2. I scanned a 1999 Delias catalog awhile back, but this is SO MUCH BETTER. Albeit a little before my time (meaning my mom wouldn't let me shop there until 1998 or so 0:) ). Everything is amazing except the jewelry?! I remember Delias having the best jewels but this catalog is kinda missing the mark. Weird! Lipstick and platforms surely make up for it, tho!

    1. I've got plenty more catalogs to scan, and the jewelry definitely changes. Stay tuned!

  3. Ditto, I've kept all of my Delia*s catalogs and they're sitting in a box in my storage unit. I refuse to throw them away. I think I have a 1995 issue.

  4. I still have my rainbow platform flip flops from this issue after 20 years but everything else is gone :(

  5. Do you remember any teen catalogs called "moXie girl" and something called "brat"? I think it was around 2000 or 2001...they went out of business but they were similar to Delia's and alloy.

  6. Summer is not about getting the perfect figure, it is more about how you make yourself fresh and relaxed after months of studying. stoner emojis
